What to Wear for a Family Photo Shoot in Mauritius

Choose a simple colour palette
Pick two or three complementary colours and let each family member wear a different shade. Neutrals, soft blues, sage green and terracotta photograph beautifully against beach and garden backdrops.
Avoid busy patterns and logos
Large logos, neon colours and busy stripes draw attention away from faces. Solid fabrics and subtle textures look more timeless in print and on screen.
Dress for the location
Beach shoots call for light fabrics and bare feet or sandals. Garden sessions can handle linen, cotton dresses and smart casual layers. Avoid black in direct sun — it absorbs light and shows every wrinkle.
Comfort wins
If children are uncomfortable, it shows in the photos. Bring a change of clothes, snacks and keep outfits breathable for the Mauritian heat.
